Carefully curated, sustainable and loved vintage jewelry, knick knacks and baubles for your home and person.
Meet your new favorite little creature: a charming mid-century peach Lucite bug brooch with the sweetest personality. Crafted in the 1950s–60s from shimmering, cat’s-eye style Lucite, this tiny friend features soft iridescent wings, a plump little body, and perfectly hand-painted black eyes that give it that irresistible “take me home” expression.
This style of novelty Lucite pin was beloved in the mid-century era — whimsical, collectible, and made to brighten any outfit. Today, they’re harder to find in such lovely condition, especially with original hardware intact.
Why You’ll Love It
Condition
Excellent vintage condition with gentle age wear appropriate for a 60+ year-old Lucite piece. No cracks or chips — wings and body gleam beautifully.
Styling Ideas
Welcome and thank you for helping us re-home these amazing little pieces of art. With your help, we ensure that these pieces keep on going from generation to generation. Disclaimer: Please note that most vintage pieces will show some sign of wear. Here at Quirkish we like our vintage pieces to look…well..vintage. We love the look of aged patina. We do not, however, love dust and gunk. With the exception of antique pieces, we give each piece a gentle bath with a light vinegar solution in our ultrasonic cleaner. If you’re purchasing a brass or silver piece, we can offer a professional polish for a $10 fee.
We sincerely hope you enjoy your trinkets and wear or display them in good health, love and prosperity.
All the Best,
Roxy
